Such a homely feel away from home. Very well appointed. The kids absolutely loved it. Close enough to all the amenities of Kingscote with a real coastal feel. Amazing position, great for exploring with the kids, fishing etc. listening to the penguins come in to nest every night was a huge bonus.

The cottage is in a perfect location, with panoramic seaviews. We could hear the little penguins going up the beach right outside the house each night. So serene and beautiful! Kitchen very well set up for real cooking. The weather was cold, but we were kept warm with heater in the living area and warm doonas and blankets on each of the beds.

Was as we expected. Salty dog is in a great spot if you are looking for accommodation close to the beach, jetty. Lovely surprise was the penguins in the garden outside bedroom windows. Locals we met were very friendly. Be wary a lot of outlets such as restaurants and attractions were closed despite advertising open every day. Might be due to time of year. We found our winter stay was great and a lovely change from Nth Qld.

The location was amazing, walked to the jetty and beach, was comfortable for all family sizes, modern and clean appliances, warm and welcoming. Back yard for kids to play and beautiful sunrise every morning.
