It's a proper quality hotel with a decent restaurant, nice furnishings, children's play area, heating, good size room, lounge /library and good service from staff. The set dinner menu is well worth it.

Although cheap, the room was still pretty basic, albeit it was clean and fine for one night. Well located for central Zarauz. No parking though, and finding a space for motorbikes nearby on streets was tough as bikes had to be in specifc marked bays apparently. Didnt eat rhere, but didnt look inviting either.

The hotel is a bit dated, but the location was perfect for the beachfront and the Camino route. The room was comfy and clean, and the bed was satisfactory.

They have a big common/lounge room area, with books and other things, and comfortable seating - really a very nice area. We were only staying a night so didn't use it but for those on a longer stay, or looking to rest and relax indoors more, that could be great. Staff very friendly and helpful, patient when we were digging around for passports for quite a while in rucksacks. We were a family of 4 - we were given a sort of 2-in-1 room situation - one main door to access, then two rooms, and bathroom in the middle. Which was a very nice bonus, we weren't all crammed into one as I'd expected when booking a quadruple. I don't know if that's how it always is there. Good location just a couple of streets back from the beach, near to bus stops and train station.
