An Infrastructure tax was introduced by the Zanzibar government from 1st July 2015. The tax of US$5 per person per day is to be collected by the hotel accommodation from all inhouse guests on behalf of the Zanzibar Revenue Board (ZRB). This amount is payable directly on check-in.We accept MasterCard and Visa. Please be advised that all credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 3%.For bookings of up to 5 rooms, a different cancellation policy applies. Cancellations must be made at least 60 days before arrival to avoid a 100% cancellation fee. Additionally, prepayment is required 60 days prior to arrival. Failure to remit payment by the deadline will result in the reservation being released.When booking 6 rooms or more, a different cancellation policy applies. If Stone Town is where you’re starting, then the staff at Shaba Boutique give you an insight of what to expect from the Zanzibarians. Welcoming and extremely friendly, you are made to feel at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable and characterful. The breakfast is also great 😊 Great location with everything within a few minutes on foot, just remember your path!

Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. At the night we thought that the location was not good. It was smelly and dirty everywhere and dark. But in the morning we saw that we were at the center of the touristic shops etc so for one night it was perfect!!

Apart from the hotel itself, which is great (cleanliness, location, big room, comfy bed, style…), the best is the staff, who goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. Special mention to Bianca for being such an amazing host and take care of us. If we come back to Stone Town we will stay there again without doubts.

I recently stayed at Shaba Hotel during a layover, and overall, it was a decent experience. The hotel’s location in the city center was convenient to have restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab a bite or just enjoy the city atmosphere.
