Not too far from Chateau Chambord and the little town of Lamotte-Beuvron where the Tarte Tatin was invented. It's set off into the woodlands in a very peaceful area. We stayed just the one night as we were passing through to the Dordogne. The location is perfect for this purpose, and we got time to explore the palace. For the actual property itself, the owner is very welcoming and Breakfast was very filling. The house is a grand structure in itself with a huge garden where you will see cows, deer, chickens and all sorts off into the distance. Breakfast is served in a grand dining room that looks out across the estate which you imagine was once a hunting lodge for some very rich people :) Beautiful location and perfect for our needs.

This is a super comfortable place to stay. My room was large, with quality fittings and a lovely bed. Loads of towels and a towelling gown supplied. Breakfast was great. The building oozes class and history.
