It's walking distance to restaurants and the shuttle bus station. The facilities are a bit old but the room is clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It also provides a free onsen in the hotel.

- Various kind of breakfast with high quality - Spacious room and good layout but the bathroom is too small comparing to total room size - Locate nearby JR Station surrounded with many restaurants and convenience store

What I like most are the staff. They always serve with a smile, greeting us at the entrance of the hotel. When my room light didn't work, they came to check almost immediately.( actually it was working, we didn't know how operate it). We got the tourist information office to call the hotel to send a free shuttle to pick us up, and it arrived in 2min. The buffet breakfast and dinner had a huge variety which we enjoyed very much. Although the room shows signs of age, it was well maintained and spacious. The view of the mountains from my balcony was amazing. Onsen was great. Oh yes, there is a cosy and rustic cafe, Hatago Issen, just opposite Yusawa station. Great for coffee and cafes/ pudding. 7 Eleven is just next to the station along the road. This hotel is great value for money.

Fantastic location just across from the JR Echigo Yuzawa station. Hotel is a little old, but the Japanese rooms are very well maintained, and the corridors have been renovated. The buffet breakfast and dinner has a very wide variety, but more importantly, of high quality! The onsen has 3 hot pools, one cold pool and a sauna. The staff is friendly and helpful. Free use of coin lockers

Good location right across the road to the train station. Onsens are clean and not crowded. The new onsen is rather small though.

As New Zealanders we liked this older style hotel for its good food and the fact that it is popular with people from Japan.
