Thea “Nowhere beats location but the hotel is not great”

The location is why you pick this. There isn’t anywhere else. But the hotel is far too big, which means it’s not really sky in sky out in practical terms, it took 2 hours from finishing skiing, to checking in, to putting my skis in the locker and I had to carry them for nearly 30 minutes so split it into 2. Also, we stayed in a block that was closing for the season but meant a lot of it was shut. And there was nowhere to get water unless you bought it from a machine or had it with dinner and the building is very worn and tired (as you can imagine with people wearing ski boots everywhere) and it felt basic for the price. They also limit a lot of services like the onsen and ski locker and even luggage storage so you don’t have access to these outside of check in and check out. The onsen was nice and it was warm however!

I like the room I got during the visit. It's a ski view. This is the second time that I have had this room type with a magnificent view. The hotel facilitiesTh are excellent and reasonably priced. I also like the Ski rental shop, laundry machine, onsen, and restaurant in the hotel area.

Very convenient ski-in/ski-out resort. Equipment rentals and shops available at the lobby. Free lockers for hotel guests to store your ski equipment. The slopes are great. Good variety of food options.

Godsend for families with kids. The hotel is directly on the spot, possibility to rent clothes, skis, onsen, free shuttle from echigo-yuzawa train station, many restaurants, the mountain view of wing 2 is amazing. Ski tracks are perfect for beginners and intermediates. Very good quality of snow and not crowded.

The proximity to the snow and activities facilities were fantastic. The food options were great. Getting there was easy too. The view from our room was amazing. The room was very expensive for what you got.

Was great so close to the slopes with all food/ski hire and amenities in one place. It’s clean and fit 3 in a room comfortably. Was great to ski at night.
