Absolutely brilliant stay, huge rooms, very friendly staff - David in particular. Excellent food and great atmosphere with lots of local custom in addition to hotel guests.

Arriving quite wet after a rainy trip in, on a motorcycle.. the welcome at Aherne's was easily warm enough to dry you out in a moment. We parked the motorbike in her own private archway undercover and went down for the most SUMPTUOUS seafood supper. Setting off for Cobh in the morning we paused to let an American couple take photos of the Wife, sat on our bike (to frighten their children back in the US with the caption "couldn't hire a car, but your Dad found us this!").. then our own departure was a relaxed and happy thing. We would definitely stay here again, and stay longer to explore a bit more of the local atmosphere.
