Wonderful breakfast, lovely staff and very clean and comfortable room. We walked into the city centre down the river path but the pub is on a bus route. We would definitely stay again

Location of this place is excellent - once we parked up, did not need the car - we pedalled into York centre, also there is a bus stop right outside and the buses ran every 10/15 minutes - excellent hosts and food was superb

Lovely warm room, very comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. Location ideal for exploring York, 10 min bus ride from stop right outside the pub. Would highly recommend.

Our room felt very unique, bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely with a walk in showers and everything was very clean. Breakfast was superb as was dinner.

Lovely property, plenty of history, well spaced carpark was a bonus. Comfortable bedroom with a lovely bathroom with powerful shower easy to turn on with lots of hot water. Impressed with all the teabags biscuits water and toiletries topped up on a daily basis. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the pub and restaurant was very busy in the evenings, we booked a table every night. Our food was fabulous, can recommend the prawn linguine, spaghetti bolognaise and the macaroni I cheese bake ,a good varied menu… all delicious. Breakfast was just as good, lots of variety.
