The hotel room was spotless. Sarah had done a wonderful job. We stayed in the twin room as we had booked last min, there were no doubles available. The room was lovely and comfy. Nice big TV and clean, spacious bathroom.. Tea and Coffee facilities in the room. They did breakfast for £6 pp, which was fine.

Beautiful gothic style room, helpful and friendly staff. Great food! In a perfect location, right opposite the shambles. Loved the spooky paintings adorning the staircase walls. The pub has live music most nights and is generally quite busy but we were pleasantly surprised that we could barely hear it due to the heavy fire door into our room.

It was full of character and old worldly charm. Great location just opposite the Shambles. Sarah did a great job cleaning the room and Rachel behind the bar went above and beyond for us when I asked for extra tea bags and milk for the room.

Very beautiful and spacious room (minstril) in an excellent central location. The beauty and quality of the room, furnishings, and shower made staying in a haunted pub as comfortable as could be.

we love visiting the golden fleece, staff are always super helpful and friendly and the breakfast is fabulous. we will definitely be returning. The view of the shambles from the bedroom window is great!
