Barbican House is a 4-stars guest house set in a late Victorian building, just 10 minutes’ walk from York city centre and university and overlooking the medieval city walls. It offers en suite accommodation, free WiFi and a self-catering apartment.
All the rooms at Barbican House are individually decorated, and feature a TV, a hairdryer and free toiletries. All rooms benefit from tea/coffee making facilities with Yorkshire tea and a selection of fruit/herbal teas, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and a complimentary sherry.

“Cozy warm stay”

The host was very warm and welcoming, it truly felt like we're staying in his house. The room was clean and comfortable and it honestly exceeded expectations as it was quiet despite being on a main road. We were very close to town which is a big plus. We didn't have breakfast but it smelled amazing in the morning when we checked out.

A great welcome by the owner. Asked our requirements prior to arrival, saved us a parking space. Met us at the agreed time. Lovely man. Property very well looked after and clearly loved. Plenty of tea, coffee biscuits and milk on the room. Also extra bits in the bathroom. Only 25 mins walk from centre of York.
