The staff and management are really nice and do genuinely look after all the residents the hotel is quirky and a bit dated but it feels very homely, in the evening the bar area is a bit like a social club, everyone seems to get on well and the atmosphere is very relaxed The breakfast is excellent! all freshly cooked and served promptly and the staff are excellent

This is a lovely family owned hotel, every member of staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. We had a large room at the front of the hotel, which was very clean and comfortable. There was a good choice for breakfast and was excellent. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to York.
