Lovely location, great hotel from a grand perspective. Room was a good size and was as described. Bar area was good with a wide range of drinks. Staff in the bar area were really helpful. Reception team were delightful.

The hotel character and decor made our stay exceptional, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, as it was a special stay for my husbands 50th our room was upgraded which was a lovely surprise, the hotel has a homely feel in a perfect location

Good, spacious hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. Excellent location, within easy walking distance of the city centre. Our room was a little on the small side and overlooked the station, but had a super big shower room. Good buffet breakfast with a selection of hot food, fresh fruit, croissants etc.

Lovely big room. Very comfy bed. Perfect location for exploring York, easy walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff were all lovelt and helpful. Loved our stay!

Location is good and we managed to get in the car park at the hotel . I felt the standard of the junior suite with view was not very good. Walks were marked , room a bit shabby and well worn . Needs a refresh . Overall disappointed as it was a treat for our 50th anniversary and fell way below expectations . Will not stay again .

We felt that the room was expensive for what we paid. It was very nice. Bed was uncomfortable. Cleaner came in the room after we had asked them not to. Very thoughtfully we got a free drink for our anniversary. Food was expensive for what it was. We did enjoy our stay but would stay elsewhere if we were to return to York.
