Everything. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and as we came and went from the hotel over the five days and always welcomed us back. The dining room staff were the same, nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and the location city suited us just perfectly to explore York both on foot and then driving out of town to see the countryside. Confidently Would recommend it to others

Great hotel to stop overnight, very friendly staff who recommended a great Indian restaurant down the road for our dinner. Beds were extremely comfortable and facilities were lovely and clean.

A lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent meal in the restaurant. Great location for a 10 minute walk into TYork.

Modern comfortable rooms in a traditional setting, friendly accommodating staff and fantastic location. Loved the shower! We had one of the smallest rooms but it felt just right for a couple.

Room was small but nice and had a lovely new bathroom. Bed was a bit uncomfortable on the first night but they changed it for my second night and then it was very comfortable. Pizza is delicious at the hotel and they have a beautiful beer garden in the front too. Location is great. Would def return.

The building itself is lovely, comfortable and clean rooms, bar and food are great , staff so friendly and helpful and perfect location to walk into the centre of York.
