Fantastic location - central for everything. Breakfast was very good, although could have been a little hotter. Great atmosphere in the bar. Some bottled water in the room would have bee nice.

The property is wonderfully located within a stones throw from the Minster and a rough 5 minute walk to the centre. For a building built sometime during the 16th century the ceilings are quite high which is handy for taller people.

The Inn and the location are stunning. The Inn is dark and moody which creates a real sense of historical atmosphere. The location is right next to the Minster and very central to the beautiful city. Our room was a four poster room which although not huge was a really lovely room.

Love the history of the place. Really enjoyed reading the little facts about Guy Fawkes. Food was amazing. Staff were super helpful and we had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Beer garden was also brilliant, so much bigger than it first looks! All in all, it was a brilliant stay. Couldn't fault it.

Property is gorgeous, bed was very comfortable and certainly a very cool place to stay for history lovers. The room we were given wasn’t the room as advertised which was a shame as we had hoped for a view of the Minister instead of the court yard at the back. Staff were perfectly fine and one member of staff was particularly helpful when the radiator wouldn’t turn off. The reception area was slightly chaotic given its location in the passageway between the bar the toilets and the restrooms. We had arrived at 11am on check in on the day just to check In bags and we were ignored until we actively spoke to someone at reception so the welcome could have been warmer and the bathroom also wasn’t cleaned properly. A member of staff started hoovering quite early (before 8:30am) on Sunday morning as well which is a tad peculiar but apart from that the staff was perfectly nice.
