The property has limited parking on site. The nearest parking is Monk Bar Car park with a tariff of £15.50 for 24 hours. Alternative parking is available at Foss Bank, however please note this is locked from 20:00 until 08:00.

Arrived early, expecting to just drop our cases, we were pleasantly surprised when our room was ready for us on arrival. Obviously this can't always be guaranteed, but it was great for us, perfect start to our stay. The hotel was ideally located to the centre for us, which was our priority. It took us about 10-15 minutes to walk from the train station and just minutes to local attractions, shops, bars and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, nothing to fault in to room at all, except a minor thing of there being no shower gel in the bathroom, the bottle had been left empty, not a massive deal thankfully we had our own. The breakfast was good. There was a nice variety of cereals, pastries, and hot breakfast. Staff constantly checking and topping up items. Overall, it was a great stay, we would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in York.

We had a room on the third floor, it had a bath with shower and huge bed! The location is perfect for walking into the city. The room was clean and well presented as was the rest of the hotel. Food for breakfast choices-ample choice, well stocked and good quality. Drinks in the bar were expected prices Plenty of hot water. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful

The staff are very friendly. The breakfast was great, lists of choice, was also hot and a lot of it out at all times. Location is great, we have stayed here before.

Location is excellent. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming & professional. Breakfast was great - so nice to find vegan sausages already on the buffet without having to make a special request and wait as you do at some hotels.

the lady on reception. when we arrived was the nicest hotel receptionist we have ever come across and we spend time in hotels at least twice a week. i cant remember her name but we arrived around 8pm sunday 9th April. That lady is an asset to your business and deserves a pay rise.

The hotel was great , convenient to the centre. Staff Amazing,my 2 dogs were well catered for . The ladies at breakfast were lovely, breakfast was good every thing you could want . Our dog friendly room Amazing, normally dog friendly rooms are basic and not nice ours was clean bright comfortable roomy ,it didn't seem like a dog friendly room it's what I would expect to have without the dogs . Two clean dog beds and 3 bowls in the room for them .bathroom was good very clean . I was a bit worried because of all the bad reviews. Our stay was 10/10 Thank you to all staff . definitely will return.
