Collected from Yudanaka Station and taken straight to the Monkey park. Large spacious room. Very clean. Traditional Japanese evening meal with dishes that we would not have tasted otherwise.

Loved the authenticity and cultural immersion. Grateful for such attentive hospitality from our hosts. Loved that they went out of their way to provide us with extra services such as collecting us from the train station. The onsen was a tremendous experience.

This was our favourite accommodation in Japan! Great communication in the lead up to our stay, including help with transport to see the snow monkeys. On arrival at the property, our host was gracious and delightful. We opted for the 10 course meal - all cooked by our hostess, and all delicious. Likewise the breakfast the next morning. The steaming onsen was perfect after a cold walk in the mountains (great massage chair too). I felt like I was in Spirited Away. At risk of making this sound like a bot (I swear it’s my real human review), after staying here and seeing the monkeys, I felt more relaxed than I have in years. Please stay here, give this family your business, as they absolutely deserve it

Everything was very nice, the owners were super friendly, they picked us up from the station, accompanied us to the monkey park and even accompanied us to the station when we left.

The staff were amazing !!! The Hostess also cooked a traditional Japanese meal consisting of 10 small dishes. The Onsen was quite large and quite the experience 😁

An opportunity to experience a traditional Ryokan. The hosts were very welcoming (collected us from station and drove us to Snow Monkey park). Superb authentic Japanese dinner (10 dishes) and breakfast (8 dishes) available.

I liked having an indoor onsen available anytime, allowing us to return to our room directly. The host’s hospitality was excellent, the WiFi was fast, and the location was close to the Snow Monkey Park. They even drove us there and back to the station after checkout.

Yudanaka is an amazing Ryokan with the loveliest hosts. The dinner and breakfast were amazing with various local ingredients arranged in a luxurious kaiseki. The owner also organised a pickup from Yudanaka station and drove us to the snow monkey park. They also drove us to the station the next morning. It was great that you could reserve the two onsens for private use. One of them had a great view in winter with lots of snow falling outside.
