we love that they offer free shuttle to the snow monkeys park. They also offer welcome drink even if you haven’t checked in yet

Room size and experience of a Ryokan was fun although we slept in needs not on futons. Private outdoor Onsen small by lovely.

If you decide to stay here make sure you include dinner, which is a formal keiseki dinner which was fantastic. This and the included Onsen (public and bookable private onsen) is fantastic.

Fantastic place to stay! The Japanese room was comfortable, great views, Kaiseki dinner was excellent. Location was great, walkable to train station , convenience store and Shibu Onsen. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Shuttle to train and snow monkey park was included.

The onsen and all facilities are great. The food is very good, as the hotel offers traditional japanese breakfast and dinner. The hotel offers transfers to the station, monkey park and ski resort which are useful.

Private onsen on rooftop was a huge benefit, definitely worth paying for! Breakfast and dinner were very Japanese and very much a show - worth doing at least once for the experience Traditional Japanese inn Asked for public baths and got given key - with warning that the water would be very hot!
