Absolutely wonderful stay! The room was incredibly spacious with stunning views, and the hospitality from the family running the hotel was truly next level. They kindly picked us up from the station, dropped us off at the Snow Monkey Park, and even rushed us to the train station when we were tight on time. Exceptional service from start to finish!

Having never tried an onsen before this was a great experience! The hotel room was spacious and we enjoyed having a little dining table and a setting on the inside balcony that overlooked the river. Photos of this place don't do it justice. It has such a nice feel. We were here two nights and went to see the Arctic monkeys and to the Snow fields. The restaurant at the hotel was booked out so be sure to book in advance as I hear their dinner is exceptional. We enjoyed a fantastic meal at the restaurant opposite the train station so if you miss out on the hotel dinner I recommend eating there. You won't be disappointed. Hotel also has a cafe and all the staff are lovely. Really enjoyed the room, private bathroom and hotel facilities. They also picked us up from train station, and took us to monkey park entry the next day. This is a quaint area to visit, relaxed and enjoyable. Happy to recommend this place. It's not upmarket but it is friendly, clean, spacious and comfortable plus the onsen is a must as part of the Japan experience!

The elderly people who run the hotel are very sweet. Communication was good. Facilities clean and spacious. The hot bath makes all for the stay. Both in and outside was a good experience and unwinding time after a long day. Dinner was tasty and well presented.

Great value for money, older style accomodation however was very clean and everything we needed. Room was spacious and about a 10min walk from the station. Staff were very friendly, they even privately drove us up to the snow monkey park which we were not expecting however very greatful for. Even bigger surprise was when checking out the gentleman at the desk also drove us to the station as he knew we were only just going to make the next train, got us there & called out the car window to train station staff to let us on, talk about going above and beyond! Burger shop on the ground floor also had really good burgers.

Family run ryokan. We opted for half board. Dinner was an amazing banquet of dishes. We stayed for 3 nights and each meal was different. Older place but enjoyed the ambience and the courteous attention from the staff. Outdoor onsen was great. A bit of a walk to the town but no problem.

Honestly the hospitality was genuinely exceptional. We only stayed two nights as we wanted to see the shibu onsen and the snow monkeys, but my gosh did Omodaka make us feel at home. The style of the traditional Japanese rooms is pretty kitsch, with incredible views of the river and mountain. We were picked up from the station, dropped at the Monkeys and even 2 restaurants over our stay when we couldn’t brave the snow. It felt like spending the weekend at your grandparents. Also the Onsen are AMAZING with comfy Kimonos to wear around.

The staff was kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The onsen was amazing. The view of the river from the room was stunning. The Japanese tatami room was a great experience. It's close to the Snow Monkey Park.

room was comfortable and clean. Staff picked us up from train station and took us to their accommodation. We specifically stayed the night to see the snow monkeys and they drove us there at the time we requested with no additional charge for any transport. There is 2 hot springs male and female which were great and lovely facial moisturisers and products for face and hands. Great views of mountains. Would truly recommend
