Good enough hostel for backpackers, who mainly need a place for sleeping. Very helpful staff. Washing machine and dryer was very cheap to use. Lunch box service was a nice bonus.

Great location, right near the bus stop. I was mostly in the room alone, only one other person on 2 nights. Fantastic bento service if you are on an early morning hike.

Anbo is a small town, and the hostel is located above the main junction, next to the bus stops and across the bridge from the kayak rental. It's a good location. The bed itself was pretty comfortable and although there weren't any lockers, the 6-bed room only had maximum of 3 people in it, so we were able to keep things next to our beds. I was allowed to keep my luggage late on check-out. The shower had good pressure and the laundry was cheap and efficient (100 yen for 60 minutes wash/dry, 50 yen for detergent from the shop downstairs).
