This mountain retreat enjoys a beautiful scenic location near the Great Wall, with rooms located from the base to the top of the hill. Rustic yet modern, Home of the Great Wall features 3 dining options and panoramic views of Mutianyu Great Wall.
Featuring contemporary brick and stone walls, air-conditioned rooms are equipped with a cable TV, electric kettle and a fridge. Select rooms come with a small plunge pool. Private bathrooms are equipped with hot-water showers.
Home of the Great Wall is a 30-minute drive from Yan Xi Lake and 70-minute drive from Beijing Capital International Airport. It is a 90-minute drive from Tiananmen Square.
Offering free parking, the hotel also provides karaoke rooms, table tennis facilities and badminton courts. The 24-hour front desk also allows luggage storage and ticketing services.

“Wonderful short stay with family”

We first visited Home of the Great Wall 11 years ago and had a wonderful time with family. We are so happy that we made the decision to visit it again after 11 years as it did not disappoint. Great view of Mutianyu from our balcony, efficient air-con during hot summer days, airy shower room, comfy beds and a hearty breakfast (we were served Chinese breakfast mostly but my son loved the chicken nudgets and onion rings). Oh and decent coffee which is a big bonus. The view on the Deck was spectacular at sunset. The staff were helpful and friendly at the right dose. We will stay here again.

While the price was a little high compared to other places of this standard, you cannot beat it for its location and the serenity of the environment that it is situated within. The staff are great and do their best to make sure that you have what you need and when you need it. The views from the room, if it isn't foggy, are simply stunning and time seems to stand still when you are staying there. Stan kindly provided us with transport to and from the Great Wall and this helped to set up a wonderful day for us.
