The design, layout and decoration were well considered, resulting in both the bar area and our room being cosy and inviting. Breakfast and dinner were superb. The service was excellent throughout.

Location excellent to visit Blenheim Palace. It's approximately a 10 minute car drive away. There is also bus stop opposite into Woodstock. We also visited Bampton. A village in which some of the series Downton Abbey was filmed and Burford, another Cottswold Village. Both approx 30 minutes drive away. The rooms are in an annexe which may not suit everyone but, other than a noisy radiator, was peaceful. Plenty of car parking. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Check in was excellent. We were allowed an early checkin so we were able to have coffee before heading off to the Palace. The venue is a restaurant, but didn't have a meal this time. Would definitely stay again.
