The sea bream for dinner was probably the best pub food I've ever had. In fact, better than most restaurants I've been to. Breakfast was pretty good, too, as was the beer selection on offer

The Bull Inn is an old, and in some places quaint building. They have a small car park, and it is best to book a parking space, even though there is an extra charge, as local parking can be difficult. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. There is no lift, but the staff offer to carry your bags up the stairs. Our room was a decent size, and had two sitting chairs, many only have one. Very clean and quiet. Excellent bed and not too hot. For those liking hand-pumped beer, they had 6 local brews on. Breakfast was very good, allow plenty of time.

We stayed with some friends on New Year’s Eve. There was a lovely busy atmosphere in the bar, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only issue was that our friend’s allocated parking space was not available upon arrival but this was quickly resolved. Our rooms were very comfortable and our breakfast was very generous, which was welcomed as we were feeling a little worse for wear! We would definitely stay again.

Clean room. Couldn't hear any noise from the bar. Cosy open fires. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening meal and the full English breakfast, which set us up for the day.

The ambience of the pub and restaurant, and the staff, were terrific. The pub has some interesting history, the public rooms are characterful and well looked-after, and there are lots of different areas to choose from, depending on how sociable you’re feeling, the number of people you are with, or whether you’re there to drink, eat, or both. The staff in the bar and the restaurant were very professional, proficient and personable. Local beers were kept and served well, too. - as they were on a previous visit. Breakfast was included in the room price on my deal, and had the look and taste of something that was home-cooked with care and imagination.

The property was as described and is a public house with rooms . However it has cleverly retained its character but updated to keep in line with modern requirements . It’s location is superb and centrally placed . The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout . The breakfast was outstanding . The products were obviously locally sourced. One of the best full English I have had .

We had a really excellent stay at the Bull Inn. The room was even bigger than we expected, all very comfortable, including the bed which was just perfect. The homemade shortbread left with the tea and coffee was delicious. The (included) breakfast can be chosen from a menu like a regular restaurant breakfast and was fantastic. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly, kind and professional.
