Nice room - very comfy bed!! Good shower and liked that a bottle of water was in the room as well as coffee, tea etc. Excellent choices for breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

The breakfast could have had a better selection of cereals and probably some fruit or yogurt. But the cooked breakfast was fine. Staff were helpful

The building is a curry house so all of the hotel, including the bedrooms smell of curry which was a little off-putting and the incense they burned at breakfast didn't cover this up. Breakfast was small and not amazing but okay. Bed was very comfortable but there were stains on the pillow cases. Television very old and no ability to pair to phone or watch anything other than main channels. Bathroom was clean but only one very mini shower gel, even though we booked for two people. Only facilities in the room was a kettle, there was a hair dryer in the drawer but only a few towels and they were all very small; hand towels, no body towels. Only two light bulbs worked out of the 6 in the room.

2nd time staying here always a pleasure staff so friendly and helpful. Had a suite this time with big jacuzzi bath . Great room. Only little thing for us bigger cups would have been better and some decaf coffee sachets ., but that’s just us. Staying again in may. Amazing food too best Gurkha I have ever eaten in 100% be sure to book they get very busy.

Clean, comfortable, and value for money. Having read mixed reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. It's not luxurious, and there are a few maintenance issues, but our room, although small, was perfectly adequate. It was clean, the ensuite also, very clean. Tea and coffee, biscuits, and bottled water in our room. The TV worked. We had dinner in the restaurant and service very good, food and wine exceptional. No complaints at all. Oh, and free parking at the hotel!

Really enjoyed my stay here! Slightly sceptical after reading reviews, but was pleasantly surprised! Quick and easy check in, staff were friendly. Was shown up to room, on walking in, loved the four poster bed. This was super comfortable. Had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time… the decor is quite dated.. but that’s to be expected.. this place dates back to…some things could be updated,(usb plugs and the like) but that’s not necessary. It’s sort of antique/vintage! The whole suite was great tbh.. there were stairs down to the bathroom and the big spa bath, which was lovely.

Clean, comfortable homely and staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend to others and will be staying again on our next trip South.
