Wonderful place to stay and the dogs loved it too. Julian our host was very friendly and helpfull. Great view of the river and mountains and the cottage (Hot Tub) was spacious and had everything you need for a few night's stay. We will be back.

Convenient location, great for a halfway stop or for a trip on its own. I wouldn’t stay one night here though, it’s definitely worthy of more time. Everything about Tugela River lodge is amazing but our highlight was sundowners from the hot tub watching the fireflies on the river banks, and kayaking up and down the river shooting the rapids. Such a special experience and will be back again.
