The room was lovely, clean and spacious with some lovely touches. Really good location to get to local bars, restaurants and shops. Self check in is easy to understand and use, great communication from staff online when asking questions. Would definitely stay again!

Gorgeously decorated room, stunning bathroom (massive bath!!) and such a comfy bed. The room was very clean and we were obsessed with the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Being upgraded to the king size room was such a treat, we felt so lucky. To top it off we had a bottle of Prosecco, some fudge and a note for my partners birthday. We managed to get a parking space 9/10 times so we were happy with that. Gorgeous location and quiet in the evenings for some well needed rest. The keypad to get in was handy as we didn’t need to worry about loosing a hotel key. The welcome book was so handy for food recommendations.

Cannot recommend The Penn enough! We stayed in the small double which was the perfect size for 2 people. The room was beautifully decorated, you can really tell a lot of time and effort was put into it. The bed was super comfy too with good quality bedding. We loved the personal touches too, a small piece of fudge in our room in arrival, Nespresso coffee machine with biscuits, and Netflix on the TV. The Penn was in the perfect location, right in the middle of Windermere with lots of restraunts, pubs and cafes close by. We walked to Bowness which took around 25 minutes, a lovely little walk. Grasmere was only a 20 minute drive away, Ambleside was around 15 minutes. We will 100% be staying at The Penn again! It is a perfect base for a trip to the Lakes.
