Just 550 metres from Windermere Railway Station, in the town centre, the Hideaway at Windermere provides modern bed and breakfast accommodation with stylish rooms and great service. This guest house is exclusively for adults and completely non-smoking.
In the mornings, full English breakfast is available and is cooked to order. Complimentary tea and cakes are also served in the afternoons.
The Hideaway is a 10-minute walk from the village of centre of Windermere and a 30-minute stroll from Bowness. Ambleside is just 10 minutes drive away and Kendal is a 15-minute drive from the property.

Check-in is strictly from 15:00 to 19:00. The Hideaway At Windermere requests that all guests provide an expected arrival time at the time of booking.
Arrivals after 19:00 will be treated as a no-show and will be charged in full, as per cancellation policy.
Please note that The Hideaway has a strict non-smoking policy. Guests will be asked to vacate the room immediately if evidence of smoking is found, and a minimum charge of GBP 200.00 will be applied to the credit/debit card used to make the reservation, to cover all additional cleaning and dry cleaning costs.
Bookings for 3 rooms or more cannot be accepted.
Please note, there is no lift at the property, and as a result it may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

breakfasts were superb with a well balanced menu , and the cakes every day of our stay were a lovely treat. The location of the hotel was great and parking was a real bonus .

Lisa and the team were really friendly and very helpful throughout our stay, we received delicious cakes upon our arrival, the property itself was full of charm and character inside and out, situated in a secluded area of Windermere with a short walk into the town. The breakfast was outstanding and the waitress was attentive throughout. We can’t wait to stay at The Hideaway again.
