Our host Cathetine was a lovely, friendly lady, & very welcoming. The accommodation itself was very clean & within walking distance from the town centre which was a bonus. Lovely Breakfast also.

The Haven is a beautiful place to stay, quiet but very centrally located, perfect for the shops and restaurants. The rooms are very tastefully presented, with lots of thoughtful extras. Breakfast was great, plenty of options, prepared with care. The host was friendly and helpful.

The room was big and the king sized bed was comfortable and the settee by the telly was nice, and the bath robes were a nice touch .

Beautifully presented b&b in a great location. Room was immaculate and bed very comfy. Great selection of breakfast items, cereals, fruit, yogurt with hot options from full English to vegetarian and more. The property was a 5 minute walk from the train/bus station and right in the heart of the town for restaurants and shopping yet set back and very tranquil. Great host! Would definitely book again in the future.

Staying at the Havens exceed our expectations! Immediately after our booking, we have been contacted to confirm arrangements for our parking request. At the day of our arrival, the staff/ owner was very polite , professional and welcome, ready to provide with useful information about attractions and activities. Our room was very spacious, decorated with fine taste creating a warmth atmosphere. It was extremely clean! Although we stayed for 2 nights, towels were changed daily and room was cleaned. Breakfast was a great experience. We enjoyed the organisation , the variety and the homemade tastes. Everything was so fresh and tasty! The hotel is placed in a central place near shops, restaurants and cafes, train station and bus stops are within 5 minutes walk. Although it is situated in a very nice area , it was very quiet , we enjoyed relaxing sleeps. We strongly recommend the Havens and we hope to go back again in the near future

A lovely cozy room in a great location near Orest Head and Queen Adelaide Hill, not far from the train station, shops, cafes and only a short walk to the Lake and right by a bus stop that took you to other towns in the Lakes. The breakfast was really nice and as well as cooked options also had a selection of cereals, fruit, yogurts and toats.

Warm welcome from Catherine who was an excellent host throughout our stay. The room was comfortably furnished and equipped. Whole place was spotless. Breakfast was very good, a number of options available. Liked the system of selecting breakfast choice the previous evening which ensured it was always ready on time. Added bonus was having a parking place with the king room. As we like walking it never moved. Some lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance and about a 20 minutes walk into Bowness. If you not a walker frequent buses nearby. Definitely on our list to revisit.

Catherine is literally the best host you can imagine for a guest house! She’s kind, warm, patient, friendly, everything good, and she makes wonderful breakfast! The room is in great condition and also the facilities. Clean, comfortable and makes the great use of space. Loved the biscuits! The location is amazing as well, just few minutes from the rail station and easy to get on any buses to other towns in Lake District, while being so quiet and private. Anyway this is the best accommodation we have in our trip and will definitely come back if we’re visiting Lake District again!
