Guest houses Overview

The Dozy Deer - a newly renovated guest house - is just a short walk from Windermere centre. The rooms feature en suite bathrooms.
No breakfast included. Windermere’s cafes and restaurants are just a short stroll away from The Dozy Deer.
Rooms feature a TV and hairdryer, and tea and coffee facilities are also available.
Breakfast is not provided, but we do have a dining room with a bean to cup coffee machine and a selection of teas at no extra charge. Breakfast is available at many cafes nearby, the closest being Homeground which is 400m away.
Built from local Lakeland stone, The Dozy Deer is just 15 minutes’ walk from Windermere Railway Station. The beautiful walking routes of Orrest Head and Millerground are easily reached on foot.

“Excellent Stay really enjoyed it”

It was a great stay, well tidy and clean room. Location is the advantage for both bowness and windermere. 10 mins walk from station or get frequent buese from station/library stop. Free coffee machine was good option to enjoy. Lots of supermarkets, cafes, restaurants around. Really liked it.

The location is excellent, close to train station, restaurants and convenient stores. Size of the family room at the second floor is good. The host is very friendly and helpful.

Beth was a great hostess and made sure our visit was a delightful one. The property was recently redone and we loved the decor.
