Situated in the centre of Windermere village, only 2 minutes walk from Windermere Train station and 20 minutes walk from Lake Windermere. Lingmoor offers modern en suite rooms with free Wi-Fi and a central location for exploring the beautiful Lake District.
Built in 1854, the family-run Lingmoor maintains its traditional charm, and all rooms have a smart TV, generously stocked hospitality trays and hairdryers. No Parking available onsite due to the incredibly central location but there is parking very close by.
Windermere has a broad choice of pubs and restaurants all within walking distance.
There are various hiking and cycling routes nearby. Lake Windermere offers boating trips and cruises, and The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction is only a 20-minute walk away, or 5 minutes by bus. Beatrix Potter's house 'Hill Top' is only 4.5 miles away from the guest house.

Wernt,t offered a breakfast or continental breakfast, had no milk on one of the mornings to have a cup of tea. No reason why we could not have a breakfast ,as went round the corner and got 1 in the cafe and we were mixing with complete strangers., payed for BB only got a room

I travelled to the lakes with my family to take part in the great north swim. This guest house has a brilliant location very close to lots of cafe’s, bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend pre-booking as it’s a bustling town and very popular. There isn’t breakfast available at the Lingmoor but there is an amazing cafe called Sugar & Spice just down the road, the food there was delicious. The rooms themselves are fit for purpose, clean with a nice hot shower available and everything you really need. The owner Ruth is lovely, nothing is too much trouble, she made us all feel very welcome. When we had an issue with the door lock she came out to resolve it straight away and gave us a little gift for the inconvenience. All in all a great weekend away with the family and I would highly recommend.
