Guest houses Overview

Broadlands Windermere Award Winning Guest House, is in the heart of the English Lake District, now a World Heritage Site.
Broadlands is a traditional stone built Victorian house built circa 1885 and is located on a quiet road 2 minutes from the centre of Windermere Village and a pleasant 20 minute walk to the village of Bowness on Windermere and the Lake.
Rooms feature crisp white cotton sheets and luxurious bedding, and an en suite bathroom with towels and free toiletries. Each room also benefits from free WiFi, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
Broadlands Windermere has previously been awarded 3 AA Gold Stars.
The house has lovely views overlooking Ellethwaite Park. The local open-topped bus can be caught from the top of the road and the train and bus station is less a 10 minute walk away.
There is free parking available on Broad Street and a public car park directly across the road.
This property does not have a lift. Guests must be able to climb 1 or 2 flights of stairs.

It features 1 king-size bed and 1 single bed, and also a hospitality tray stocked with selection of tea, coffee and biscuits for you to enjoy. The compact en-suite shower room has towels and complimentary toiletries. The room is accessible by stairs only. We do not have a lift/elevator.

Located on the second floor to the front of the property, this room overlooks Ellerthwaite Park and the hills towards Lake Windermere in the distance. There is NO lift at the property so guests will have to climb either 1 or 2 flights of stairs to their room. We are a ROOM only establishment, therefore, no meals are included.
Kindly note that the guest is liable for any damages made to the property by themselves during their stay. Full payment will be taken 14 days prior to arrival date. The property cannot accept American Express.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Both ladies who run Broadlands were really friendly and helpful. Location is close to train station and bus stops so its easy to get around to other parts of the Lakes. Also, very close to supermarkets and other shops in Windermere. Bed was comfy and the room had all of the amenities I needed.
