Very close to the town centre and right on the river bank with lovely views. Breakfast is simple but very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking on site. Room very comfortable with all the basic amenities needed.

Comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Bathroom was very small and smelt musty due to poor ventilation. Great location. A little noise from people outside the pub but not too bad. Delicious breakfast.

We had a lovely weekend break at The Hope and Anchor. The hotel is set right by the river and we had beautiful views from our room, it's also just a short walk into town so is in the perfect position. Our room was absolutely gorgeous and so clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome.

Lovely location, staff and venue - breakfast was amazing. Bedroom was lovely and clean, although we went in early Feb and the bathroom was freezing. Looking to come back in the summer!

breakfast was good, location was excellent, parking was easy, staff were really nice, waitress we had was very friendly and very helpful, the manager was welcoming and kindly requested an early breakfast as we were out early and it was waiting for us bang on time
