We stayed at Kurumba lodge for 2 nights and couldn’t fault our experience. The homestay is situated in a beautiful area of the national park, we were able to see so much wildlife on our doorstep. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner all made fresh by the family. The night safari that they took us on was amazing, we saw a wild fishing cat (very rare), elephants and crocodiles.

Lovely tiny lodge with a view over the rice paddies. The family is very kind and helpful. Since you're very close to Wilpattu National Park, there's not much around. So the family arranges breakfast and dinner at the porch in front of the room. They also arranged a full day safari for us, with private jeep, breakfast and lunch. We really enjoyed our stay and 1 evening we even had an elephant passing by the place! Would really recommend this place of you're planning for a safari in Wilpattu.

Lovely property hosted by a family. We had lovely breakfast and dinner served both nights looking over the rice paddies! Bed was comfortable. AC cold and wifi good for Sri Lanka! The accommodation was perfect for us a couple who have been hostel and home stay hopping across Asia! The location is very rural which is just what we needed after hectic days of safari which was arranged by Kurumba lodge and they provided water, breakfast and lunch for us! Thanks so much we loved our stay!

Very nice family and nice room. The sons speak very good English. They can arrange transport or safari if you need it. I already booked the safari somewhere else beforehand. Food is basic, but good! Very beautiful view from the lodge.

Very nice view on the rice fields from the terrace, good for relaxing or a short walk. Many birds. Warm welcome with a drink. Clean room, big and good bed with klamboe. Good food (be aware there are no restaurants or shops nearby), served at the time you like in front of your room, including water. Beer available. Friendly family who arranged the safari day for us (with a very nice and extensive lunch!) as well as a taxi to our next destination. We were lucky to see a lepard! Take mosquito repellent.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay with this extremely friendly family. Everything from the evening meal to the 12 hour safari arranged by the host was superb. Great start to our Sri Lankan road trip.

Kurumba Lodge is a wonderful place with an awesome family. From the first welcome drink until the last moment of GoodBye it was an unforgettable lifetime for us. The son Naditha and his parents supported us in nearly every aspect, we could image. Wether it was some technical problems with my camera or an unforgettable safari – in every moment, they were so helpful. The self made food, the drinks, everything tasted very well. The place of the lodge is also very nice. The terrace with a wide view, all the wildlife animals – for us as nature lovers and photographers – perfect. And by the way, the bed, the matress, the AC – we slept like in heaven. The hardest thing was to say goodbye, because it felt already like at home. We felt in love with these wonderful and heart warming people.
