Please note that, for security purposes, the front gate to the property is locked at 22:00 and unlocked at 07:00 each day.Guests who wish to arrive outside those dates must ring the office and make other arrangements.Please note reception hours are 09:00 until 20:00.If you expect to arrive outside these hours, please inform Whitianga Campground in advance, using the contact details found on the booking confirmation.Please note that for bookings of 3 or more rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply.For bookings over the Christmas and New Year's period, 25 December and 31 December, all guests must be over the age of 21 and there is a bond of 1 night's stay.Please note that satellite channels are only available to guests with a 'MySky' card.Please note that pets are strictly not permitted inside the cabins under any circumstances.Camp showers are $2 for a 3/1/2 minute hot showerThe campground has separate male and female ablution facilities, barbaque and outside dining area as well as a large communal kitchen and TV roomTokens can be obtained from the office to use the showersBookings by groups may incur a good behaviour bond. Guests please DONT bring your pets.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Location was amazing. Quick walk to the beach. As it was away from the town centre it was very peaceful and lush. Still close enough to walk everywhere. Friendly staff. Room was spacious for our family. Comfy beds. Large fridge with kitchen necessities.

Really tidy camp ground, tuck away from the crowds,quiet and peaceful. The camp facilities are basic and are very clean. Great camp if you are on a budget.

Location: just 5 minutes drive to the town centre. Excellent value for money. Nice and friendly staff

I liked the away-from-it-all feel. The campground was quiet, small, had a few classic kiwi-styled cabins, grassy areas for tents, a cool kitchen and hangout area, surrounded by trees, a river, and the beach across the road. It was totally old-skool, so it is not possible to give it full ratings but if you know that you are rocking up to a groovy, old-fashioned kiwi campground then you'll be happy with this place. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. I liked that I could kayak down the river from the edge of the garden and take a 2 minute walk to the beach. I'll go back again :)

At the time it was just fine. Not sure what it would have been like with a group of rowdy people who drink.
