The fine print
YHA cannot accept bookings for 16 people or more. Any such bookings will be cancelled by YHA.
The maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights. Following any stay of 14 nights, guests may not stay in any YHA accommodation for at least seven nights.
The ID must match the name and address on the booking. Where a booking is for more than one person, the named person on the booking will need to provide proof of identify that matches the name and address on the booking. ID will also be requested from all other adult guests. These IDs must match the name they sign in with at check in.
Please note discounts are not available for members of YHA (England and Wales) or Hostelling International as part of this booking.
Towels are not included in the room rate. Guests can hire them at the property or bring their own.

Exclusive use of 10 bedder for our family of 5 with ensuite shower and toilet. The slope on the shower floor drained water well. Having a sink in the room for teeth brushing and hand washing. Staff, Alison was very helpful with recommendations for food delivery. The in-house cafe and bar has a substantial dinner menu. The foosball facility generated some fun and laughs.

I've been to ALOT of hostels in my time and from start to finish this place was definitely up there with some of the coolest places Ive ever stayed. I had trouble finding the entrance as I was arriving by car in the dark but a quick phone call and I had precise directions to the front door. Staff were pleasant and welcoming, the canteen was great and the food was good. My bedroom and bathroom were clean 10/10 👌

The children loved exploring the grounds and specially playing the games provided in the lounges for them to play. Food was amazing and kids ate for £1 and good portion size. Free pass to go on the abbey which was amazing.

Great location. Basic facilities but great value for money and a very handy cafe if you're wanting food / drinks. I'd definitely like to stay there again.

Perfect place to stay again and again and again, we love Whitby youth hostel so much and all the staff we have met are great too. Thankyou for offering a beautiful home to us all that don’t have lots of cash to splash. See you again , hopefully soon. Doris & Ant ❤️

Very clean bed was surprisingly comfortable Staff were super accommodating and friendly. They couldn’t have done more For the price you couldn’t have wanted more Breakfast area is really nice and welcoming and food was great
