The decor was fabulous!! And the host John was particularly good being very friendly but not overly familiar. The breakfast was superb too and set us up each day.

John and Lisa are amazing hosts: very friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts have a good choice of delicious homemade choices. The rooms are spacious and very comfy.

Location great, short walk into the harbour. Food was awesome and breakfast process was great. John and Lisa, we’re really lovely.

This is our second stay at High Tor - Location is excellent and John and Lisa are wonderful hosts - very accommodating and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious with great options and the rooms are comfortable and well thought out. We loved the decor and the feel of the place - would definitely recommend!! A bonus is a parking permit also. Ten out of ten!!

We had a fabulous stay at High Tor guest House. The hosts John and Lisa made it an exceptional break. The attention to detail we have not experienced better. The decor each piece of art and furniture so unique. The room was very clean with a big comfy bed. There was an array of tea and coffee choice and to my delight hot chocolate the most amazing tasting local biscuits and a bag of chocolates. Lisa makes the most amazing breakfast with a good choice, all made with locally sourced produce. John was the friendliest host making us feel very welcome. We had booked for 2 nights but were stranded due to bad weather at home he went above and beyond so that last minute we could stay an extra night. The hotel is well positioned close the all the wonderful sights that Whitby has to offer. We would not stay anywhere else when visiting Whitby.
