Walked into a nice reception Nice welcome card bottle of wine, chocolates Plus tea, coffee, and milk The cottage was right in the centre of the old town and the main walk with shops, restaurants and pubs All close to hand. There is no need for transport there's a good bus service for trips to Scarborough and York Whitby is a loverly place to stay, and the cottage is right next to the 199 steps upto the Abbey

We’ve stayed in over a dozen places in Whitby over the years the cleanliness was the best ever just a little extra something. The welcome pack lovely including a TV magazine which was great with the rainy weather! Even the wine had a nice sparkly cover! We met the lovely Beryl housekeeper Beryl and her hubby.
