Booked last minute stay for visiting family who have just moved to Wedmore. We had a room upgrade as original room was needed for dog friendly customer. Room we had was good size with comfortable bed and ensuite. Had dinner in restaurant which was good quality. Also had breakfast which was substantial. Staff all friendly and pleasant. Good atmosphere in bar during the evening.

Classic English pub . Attentive staff and food was of decent quality. The rugby was on in the bar and the atmosphere was great.

The family is now looking for excuses/reasons to visit this part of the country again, so that we may, once again, stay at The George. The young, engaging staff are wonderful, a credit to the establishment, food is excellent, breakfast worth every penny, overall, a charming 600 year old coaching inn that is a delight to stay at.
