We have mixed feelings. The hotel is a historic building, it's beautiful, the room is spacious, and the location is excellent. However, upon arrival, we had to carry our own luggage to the room, the room had no city view, and I was unable to make a reservation at Riggs Café even once. I'm not sure if they have limited capacity or there were too many guests, but they should prioritize seating for staying guests.

It is an old bank that has been converted to a hotel. Lots of reminders from the previous era, such as the "fort knox" door and the counter like reception. Definitely worth a walk through the common areas of the hotel. Great location , next to almost everything. Good decor, great beds.

Great location. Room exactly as per photos. Check in and check out very easy. Staff superb. My wife sprained her ankle on her last night and the staff couldn’t do enough to assist us. I believe it was Ian on the evening we got back to the hotel. If I got that right, then thank once again you Ian

We loved this hotel, beautifully decorated, brilliant walking distance to many of the sights, superb staff, nothing was too much trouble, from the front desk to the waiting staff, a shout out to Mr DC, the doorman, thank you for looking after us, with a smile. Thank you. We will definitely return.

Wonderful experience, possibly the best hotel in Washington DC. Confortable, quiet, clean and exquisitely decorated rooms. Amazing restaurant with very good room service. New, impressive gym facilities.
