Hotel Overview

Located on the corner of 12th and K Streets NW in Downtown Washington, Eaton DC is blocks away from shopping, the Metro, and the Smithsonian.
Every room features a floor-to-ceiling window, a flat-screen TV with streaming capabilities. Each room also has a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, bathrobes, free toiletries, in-room steamer and a hairdryer.
The hotel offers three on-site bars, a restaurant, and a café. The space has a radio station that promotes talk radio, live music, and recorded music. In addition to the radio station, Eaton has a 50-seat theatre for hosting speaking events and screenings. There is a wellness centre located on-site, which features traditional and new-age practices to promote peace of mind and body.
Michele’s is Eaton’s featured restaurant, and offers a new French –American dining experience by local celebrity chef, Matt Baker. Allegory offers an elevated drinking experience and the rooftop bar, Wild Days, provides guests with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as live music.

The hotel has a nice contemporary vibe with indeed a community feel to it. Room is simply nice; some mid century touches and space to move around. The best part I found to be the bed: exceptionally comfortable while still supportive. Good shower the (basic) record player is a nice touch, and there was a cloth steamer. Got to print in the co-workspace in the middle of the night, that was great. Friendly, helpfull staff.

The location is fantastic, close to everything you need. My room was plenty large enough (king) and comes with its own record player and books which are a lovely touch. The bathroom has all the amenities so you do not need to travel with them! I love the mission for the hotel, be socially and environmentally focussed. It’s a good reason to go back.

As a solo traveller, I loved the events hosted at Eaton DC, which made it easy to connect with others. The rooftop offered great views, and the location was perfect for accessing high rated venues and nearby attractions. My room had an artsy designed interior, with the bathroom being a standout—spacious and stocked with high-quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I also enjoyed the functional vinyl player, which added a unique touch to my stay.

Disappointed no sit down breakfast provided had to use Bakers Daughter cafe. Not much choice. Staff on reception were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Had a problem with the toilet but after reporting it to reception it was resolved with in 15 minutes.
