Our 3rd visit of the year. That speaks for itself. We thoroughly enjoy the comfort of the hotel, the friendliness of the staff and, of course, the food.

I liked a lot the food offered for breakfasts and dinners. It was very nice and some dishes were exceptional. I loved the beef cheek, for example. The room was clean and quiet, it was nice to sleep without any distraction at all. There are lovely routes for hiking around the place, and we tried one of them. Also, there are easily accessible by car historical sights related to the Roman Empire in just 8-15 miles away from the hotel. Battlesteads is a lovely place!

Battlesteads is very well positioned in the middle of Warkworth and set back from the street. It was very warm and cosy and well equipped. The Christmas decorations (lights and a tree) were a very nice touch, as was the welcome basket. The information provided was very clear and the house was ideal for our stay.

Lovely, cosy well equipped room. Bar and restaurant area and the food (1 evening meal and 2 X breakfasts) were excellent.
