Hotel Overview

Close to the centre of Wadi Musa, the Rocky Mountain Hotel is a small family run budget hotel which features free WiFi in the public areas, a rooftop terrace with spectacular views of the Petra Mountains.
All rooms at Rocky Mountain are equipped with air conditioning. The small bathrooms are all private and are fitted with a shower.

“Great accomodation for Petra visit”

Good location - walking distance to city center, 5 minutes ride to Petra. Great view from breakfast room with balcony. Kind stuff, they offered us a “lunch box” for 5JD per person, which included in our case tuna samdwich, some sweets and juice. We picked it up after breakfast and it was perfect for our full day visit in Petra.

The location up on a hill a bit out of town is a great spot to watch the sunset. There is a rooftop restaurant and terraces to sit out and watch the sunset. The rooms are clean and comfortable, some are nicely decorated with traditional textiles. The owner is a friendly helpful man.

The hotel might seem basic but I had a very comfortable stay and, since the hotel is family-run, I really felt welcomed and looked after as a guest there. Mohammad was part of the staff at the time of my stay and he’s quite helpful with setting me up for the tour to wadi rum and Aqaba even for a good price. Will always be grateful for this as the trip gave me a good memory to keep!
