Luca was the perfect host. He allowed us to check in earlier and explaining everything in details, what places to visist and where to eat. He’s there for whatever you need. The rooms are very clean, the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, every day it was different with local ingredients and homemade cakes. The best breakfast we had in Italy.

The breakfast was lovely 😊 and I’m not a breakfast type of person. The cakes where also delicious that was made by Lucas lovely wife who always was smiley. Luca was an absolute gentleman he took us to our bus stop when we was checking out and made sure we got the right bus. We would definitely stay here again it was so peaceful and the views where lovely.

Our stay at Villa Rioddi was simply wonderful! In absolutely beautiful, hillside surroundings, superb, central location for exploring all of Tuscany by car - Pisa, Florence, Siena, the coast; everything in-between, and beyond. Lucca, our host, was charming and thoroughly attentive to our needs. Extremely well-informed as to all the local attractions, also restaurants, not just in the region of Volterra but certainly all of Tuscany and even beyond; wow! (Unfortunately we didn't quite have enough time to enjoy it all, but certainly appreciated being given the comprehensive information all the same.) Room was perfect - very comfortable, spacious and overlooking the beautiful scenery; bed was huge, very comfortable; lovely bathroom with places to put everything, and excellent shower. (Had everything we needed, except on the days it was raining there and we were confined to the hotel for longer periods, I think we both felt we would have liked a kettle in the room with which to make our own tea and coffee, but that's only a tiny quibble given how fantastic everything else was.) And last, but by no means least... breakfast. This was AMAZING!! Every day there was a very good variety of different things offered, freshly made in-house each day (and some delicious cakes, also home-made!), which Lucca took great pride in explaining to his guests what each one was. No two days were quite the same. Brilliant variety no matter your taste and dietary requirements; something for everyone. I found myself having to go back for more each time, pig that I am; all delicious! So yes, Villa Rioddi should definitely be at the top of your list of choices for a stay in Tuscany - it ticks all the boxes, and more! Thank you Lucca and team, we very much hope to see you again sometime, this was brilliant!

Very nice rural location on the outskirts of Volterra. Room is very clean and comfortable, great host, breakfast was exceptional with homemade food. Would highly recommend .
