Central location, walking distance from the main attractions in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Self-checkin worked fine for me - although I do wonder if there was any problems or issues in general, how it might be handled with no hotel reception staff onsite. Room was clean, serviceable with adequate facilities although a bit soulless.

Auto check in: there is a machine at the reception which will make a pass card/key for you, info in many languages. The person I was in communication about the auto check in beforehand was very helpful. Otherwise not much contact with personnel. At some point a manager came to warn us that there will be some repairs in adjacent rooms and will be some noise. I found that very considerate. Nice firm mattresses, pretty good WiFi. The hotel is easy to reach by public transport. We used a tram which goes from the central bus station, it takes about 12 min. I recommend buying the transport card at the bus station; also, Barik card from Bilbao also works on the tram. The hotel is about 2 min walk from the tram stop. A short walking distance to the Old Town; not-so-short but easy walking distance to the botanical garden (Jardín Botánico de Olarizu), which is highly recommended. No shortage of bars/restaurants around, starting with calle Rioja.

Simple and clean. I stayed in a “Deluxe single room” but there was nothing “deluxe” in it. Very basic, modern room. Staff very kind. Good location.

The communication was clear and timely, no issues at all with the self check-in. The location is convenient to get to the old town by foot. It was ok for a one night stay.
