Renovated historic Casa da Torre is a beautiful boutique hotel. A joy to stay in stylish comfortable rooms of which there are only 8 or 9. Good breakfast, friendly staff and safe parking on site. I have stayed a few times and will return whenever I need a room. Best is to book well in advance, if you can.

The renovation of the complex was tasteful. We really enjoyed the many memorials, photos and writings by José Coelho, an archaeologist. The location of Casa da Torre is in a very quiet location. The woman who was attending to the breakfast was extremely helpful in providing additional important historical information about Professor Coelho, his work, as well as his home.

Nice big room, with a King sized bed. Very clean & modern. Breakfast was good with a very friendly hostess. Hostess spoke excellent English(although she continued to unnecessarily apologize). I should have apologized for not speaking Portuguese.

The room is very comfortable, location close to city center by foot, all new and lovely decorated, extremely clean. They were very nice, we arrived earlier with almost 2 hours and they allowed us to check-in. Private parking on site, inside their property.

The warm, friendly welcome, despite our late check-in. The especially arranged vegan breakfast. The wonderfully appointed rooms, whilst modern, are steeped in local history which the staff enjoy telling you more about. 5 mins from Palacio do Gelo and main facilities, yet situated in a tranquil area, guaranteeing a good nights sleep.
