I had a very nice one-week stay at Welcome Hotel. The hotel is excellently situated at the base of Old Town. My room (45) had a stunning view of Villefranche Bay and the peninsula of Cap Ferrat, with the blue Mediterranean Sea beyond. On several days, at dawn, the faint outline of Corsica was visible. My room was quite comfortable, with a good bed, plentiful hot water, strong water pressure, and fresh smelling bed and bath linens. The hotel provided a large buffet breakfast, and I was able to get tea and coffee at any time, which I enjoyed on the room's lovely balcony. I can't praise the management and staff highly enough. They were professionally attentive, responsive, and polite. Mr. Julien in particular was a superlative manager. When I twisted my ankle while sightseeing and was in a great deal of discomfort, the hotel was very solicitous and brought me ice packs and a portable fan and offered to help in any way possible. I will always remember their kindness. Altogether, I highly recommend Welcome Hotel for any stay in Villefranche!

Excellent location with spacious rooms by European standards. The hotel provides two bottles of water daily, and the room is well-equipped with a mini bar and a Nespresso machine. The air conditioning is very effective, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff at reception are friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. Breakfast was good, offering a variety of food options that exceeded European standards. A small tip: keep the curtains closed when you leave the room during the day, as all rooms face south. Being situated above a restaurant and bar and directly in front of the marina, the location is vibrant and lively, though you can expect some noise in the evenings.

It is a very welcoming place: 24-hour desk service, bar and restaurant on ground floor, breakfast buffet daily. Small elevator for upper floor access. Housekeeping staff are efficient and friendly. Front desk staff very helpful. Hotel room was very comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Great views of old fishing harbour and whole inlet from front and side balconies. Many eateries and shops in alleys behind the hotel. Other dining options along full length of waterfront. Markets set up on select days. Swimming beach five minutes walk to head of Inlet. Train station about 1.2 km walk via steep set of stairs. Be prepared for crowds on the days that the cruise ships are in. But at the Welcome Hotel, you’re well above it all.
