The fine print
Every winter, from the 15th of October until Good Friday and Easter weekend, the reception, bar and restaurant are closed. This means all reservations will have self check-in and self check-out. It is not possible to have breakfast during this period. Daily housekeeping will also not be provided but we do offer weekly cleaning services for those staying longer min. 12 nights.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Great accommodation, very clean and modern and lovely outside area. Also I arrived late at night but it felt very safe and well lit. The checkin was a very smooth process.

Setting was remote quiet and peaceful. Food was good but limited especially for evening meals. Really well maintained gardens and pool area. Ample parking, fantastic helpful staff. TV had choice of English channels

A very peaceful place, close to towns and beautiful beaches. The staff are really attentive. We liked the breakfast. The dogs are definitely the stars of the hotel. It was great to start the day by playing with them. Gardens, trees, pool area. All very relaxing. We would visit again.

We arrived at 1am which I was concerned would be an issue due to the small and intimate location. However I reached out to them and the communication was excellent, sending me very clear instructions via what's app on how to find the property, and access our room outside of normal hours. The place was clean, quiet, with a fantastic relaxing atmosphere. The staff were extremely personable and friendly, with 3 lovely house dogs. The food was great and reasonably priced, and the drinks were cold! The room itself was basic yet spacious and a mixture of the traditional building style but with modern facilities, a huge comfortable bed and a great shower and air con. All in all we had a fantastic stay and our only regret was not staying for longer, we will definitely return to Casa Do Alto in the very near future!
