A stunning boutique hotel in a perfect location, the port wine side of Porto. We chose this hotel for its unusual but dramatic interior design. If it’s too much for you there’s a bland Hilton next door. This was a 5 night treat for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the pool as the river view was out of our price range. The rooms on the ground floor had its own outdoor sofas but you would have sun beds and bathers also just outside your room-so we took the top floor option. I had let it slip it was our anniversary while negotiating a double bed vs the twin option. On our arrival we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of champagne, fruit and chocolates! From the moment of our arrival all the staff congratulated us, giving us priority with tables with views etc. we felt so spoilt-it added to the whole occasion. The breakfasts were amazing and the staff so friendly and polite-they even could enforce the dress code without causing offence! The swimming pool was warm and pretty too! It was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had, even over London’s offerings (the ones we’ve afforded)

We had an amazing stay at the Lodge hotel. The location is great and everything is within walking distance. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, there was plenty of choice and the restaurant had a lovely view. The rooftop (heated) pool was very nice after a long day exploring Porto. We will definitely come back!

This is definitely a hotel you’ll never forget. The view of Porto is unrivalled, plus you’re steps away from all the best port and wine tastings. The room was absolutely gorgeous, with a great bed and plenty of space. Breakfast spread was amazing!

The staff was exceptionally friendly. The hotel is modern and the furniture is really nice. Everything is clean and the pool was really nice. The breakfast was exceptionally good, very good quality and a little to choose. The orange juice is extremely delicious. The in house restaurant is also very good, the food was delicious and the service is excellent. The view from our room was beautiful and the hotel is very good located.

It was outstanding hotel with very kind services and good quality facilities. The location is also very close to all the winery tour places and if the walk to the metro was not that bad than expected so it was also easy to go back and forth to the town and the hotel. The restaurant was also very cozy and had nice foods/wine. We really enjoyed it. The only downside was that it was the first meal we had in Portugal so it became kind of baseline after the whole trip and it wasn't easy to find a better/similar one.

All staff were very welcoming and helpful from checking in with a welcome drink to arranging our transfer back to the airport. Breakfast was superb and we also enjoyed a meal in the restaurant. Our room was quiet, comfortable and very clean.
