Super location. Very quite. Dinner tasty. Drive till the hotel is slightly bumpy but even with a small car no problem!

A fabulously original hotel. Infinity pool overlooking the river, 19th century building, gorgeous nature all around and just a wonderful Signora Rita who will make your stay incredibly delicious! and comfortable

Location Quietness Swimming pool is quite good and has a great view day and night. Plenty of activities like bird watching, visits to the Open Air Côa Palaeolithic Art Engravings Museum and specially the night visit with a specialist guide from the Museum.

The villa is in a beautiful location overlooking a bend in the Douro valley. There are no roads along the valley in this part so it is a haven of peace and tranquility. I don't think I have ever had such a clear view of the Milky Way, thanks to the total absence of light pollution., The villa is very dog friendly and there is no charge for dogs. The host, Rita, is lovely and speaks pretty good English as well as running the whole place. She was extremely kind and made us feel very welcome. The rooms are air-conditioned and there were plenty of extra little touches such as a plug-in fly killer. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and fresh produce. We opted for the 30 Euro dinner which was great. The open air pool overlooking the property and valley was an added bonus..
