Hostel Overview

Situated in Vík town centre, this historic century-old hostel is a 10 minutes’ walk from Vík’s famous black beach. Guests have access to a communal, well-equipped kitchen and shared seating area. Kötlusetur Museum is located next door to the hostel.
Each room at 1908 Hostel by Ourhotels is simply decorated and has shared bathroom facilities.

The hostel was in a beautiful condition and very clean and comforting. Its location was ideal.

Excellent value for money, comfortable beds and while basic, it had everything we needed. We stayed twice, once on the way 'out' and once on the way 'back', and both stays were lovely. A few minutes' walk from a lovely local restaurant. They had a brilliant 'no shoes' policy upon entering so the floors were clean and dry.

New appliances in the kitchen, 2 bed room had TWO ROOMS, gave us chocolate and towels, clean bathrooms and free, good quality toiletries. In a cute heritage building.
