Hostel Overview

In a renovated historic building dating from 1876, this modern hostel is just 50 metres from the Mariahilfer Straße shopping street and a 5-minute walk from the U3 and U6 Westbahnhof Underground Station. It offers free WiFi in public areas and a garden with a seating area.
There is also a small kitchen space with microwave, fride and sink and a vending machine, as well as a washing machine and a dryer.
In the common area, guests can watch satellite TV and play tabletop football. The 24-hour reception provides free city maps and brochures.
City Hostel Westend’s simply furnished rooms feature a seating area. Bathrooms are private or shared.
A children’s playground is 100 metres away. The city centre can be reached within a 20-minute walk. The hostel is only 3 stops on the U3 underground line to Vienna's city centre. Garage parking is located round the corner.

There are numerous Viennese coffee houses, restaurants and bakeries near Westend City Hostel that offer a very good breakfast.
In Rooms with more than 3 Beds Guests have to put linen on the beds themselves; towels can be rented.
Breakfast is available after written confirmation for groups (of at least 20 travelers) between 7am and 10am in our breakfast room . There are numerous Viennese coffee houses, restaurants and bakeries near Westend City Hostel (at Marihilferstrasse and in Westebahnhof) that offer a very good breakfast.
We can recommend (only 3 minutes from us): • Backwerk, Mariahilfer Str. 124 • Backery Ströck at Westbahnhof and Underground Metro Station. • For the vegans and allergy sufferers, we recommend MaranVEGAN – Vegan Supermarket in Stumpergasse 57, 1060 Vienna • XXXLutz restaurant (Mariahilfer Straße 121B at the corner of Millergasse)
Upon check-in there is a keycard deposit of 5€ in cash per keycard. The deposit will be returned in cash once the keycard is returned to reception.
You can rent towels for 3,00 EUR (6 EUR Deposit), padlocks for sale à 5,50,- EUR or you bring them yourself.
Please contact the property in advance if you expect to arrive after 18 p.m. Linens are provided, In Rooms with more than 2 Beds please make your own bed, For shared rooms (more than 2 Beds) you can rent towels and purchase padlocks at reception or bring your own. (subject to availability) Discounted parking tickets for a garage nearby can be purchased at the reception (subject to availability).Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. The staff were quite supportive and good. They guided me through the city for both sightseeing as well as gave good suggestions for restaurants to try out.

Close to west train station, tram and metro stops. There are shops nearby. Overall good location. There was also free cake in common area.
